Mexicali_reunion

      On the weekend of April 4th-6th 2008, we will be gathering as
many former Mexicali participants as we can for an enormous
celebration of 20 years of faithful ministry in the Mexicali Valley. We
will be working hard to make contact with everyone; if you have any
contact info (for yourself and for anyone else) please click on the
"contact us" link and e-mail us whatever you have. We're not yet sure
of the format or any details, but we do know that it's going to be a
great celebration and a chance to share some incredible memories.
      Meanwhile...take a look at the composite Mexicali team rosters
or the complete list of individual team rosters by year, going all the
way back to 1989. If you are aware of any names that are missing
from one of the teams, PLEASE let us know. Or if there is anyone
whose name is on a wrong year, or whatever, we need that info too.
Got an e-mail address? Send it to us. Got an e-mail address for
someone else from one of the teams? Send it!! And let people know
about the website; we'd really like to get a lot of people connected
here, and it will work if you guys help us out. Okay to post us on
MySpace if that will help get word out.

         UPDATE: We know this much...the big gathering will be
on Saturday, April 5th, from noon to some time after 4:00. We'll
have lots of food, photos, slides, videos, music, conversation,
etc, etc, etc. And then of course you're all invited to come to the
traditional Mexicali team worship service at Grace (led by this
year's team) on Sunday morning at 10:00.
       We would be happy to find lodging in people's homes for
anyone who needs it for the weekend; just let us know. And we
would encourage you to connect with friends for some good
evening time together while you're all in town.
       Your part of the preparation is to help us with e-mail
addresses, "snail mail" addresses, and phone numbers so we
can contact everybody. And we also need to hear from you so
we know you're coming. AND...we would love to put together
some collections of thoughts, memories, and reflections as you
think back on your Mexicali experiences...send along a short
note, a long essay, a full-fledged documentary, or a "Big Fish"
(did you see the movie?) interpretation of your time with us, and
we'll share it with everyone who comes. We hope to put
together a composite photo CD, and could include everybody's
Mexicali stories on it.
       Contact us soon (and often!)...we love hearing from you
guys. We look forward to seeing you on April 5th.
